Molly Alcott didn’t expect to open her mailbox one summer morning and find an old letter stuffed between bills and a supermarket flyer. Penned in familiar handwriting, dated over fifteen years ago, the letter was written to Molly after her first date with the man she’ll never forget.

Week after week, new letters appear. Each marks an event in the history of their epic love affair. Each heals a wound. Each holds the confession of the man who still owns Molly’s heart.

The letters are full of promise, hope and love, but truth be told, Molly wishes she could unread them all.

Because the man who wrote these letters is not the one sending them.

My review:

I’ve been in love with you since I was twenty-one years old. I might not wear the ring, but that doesn’t mean I don’t feel it there.

I love to read about a divorced couple who is trying to be together again for them and for their kids. I believe in a second chance for a divorced couple. I think that everyone should fight for the reunion of their family. I love the way that the author Devney Perry developed their second chance to love.

I hate this,” she whispered.
“So do I.”
“I feel like every time I go to the mailbox, I’m going to get blasted back into the past. I already cried these tears. I don’t want to do it again.”

Molly and Finn are a divorced couple and they have together two kids. They have a good relationship for their kids and for sister’s Finn. Molly received a letter one morning written by the young Finn, a letter about their first date together. She continued to receive letters about their life together but she after confronted Finn, found out that he didn’t send them. He doesn’t want her to read all the letters because not all of them are beautiful. The letters are about their life together with good and bad and Molly felt the need to read all the letters because for them to move forward with their life, they had to face the past.

They begin sleeping together but things began to be complicated when they realized that they still love each other. After that, they began to talk about their past and their life together and to solve their misunderstandings. They decided to be together and forgive each other.

I loved Finn and Molly as a couple and as a family. They work together as a team to raise their children. I love this family and I loved to read about their journey and about their healing. I will recommend everyone to read this book.

“I love you.” Finn kissed my hair. “In case that wasn’t perfectly clear. I love you, my darling Molly. For the rest of my days.”
