In a dangerous time before her own…a dangerous attraction.
Amelie Besson is on the cusp of attaining the life she’s dreamed of—until she finds herself stuck in pre-war France, fifty years before her time. The country is about to be under German rule, but her most immediate problem is Henri Durand, the arrogant and infuriatingly handsome vineyard owner upon whom her survival depends.
The fiercely protective Henri challenges everything Amelie holds true—particularly her hatred of the gift that brought her there in the first place. As the bond between them grows, Amelie will begin to wonder if the life she’s returning to is actually the one she wants, and if her connection to Henri might be strong enough to surmount any obstacle…even time itself.
I received this ARC for an honest review. Thank you!
Across time is the story of Amelie and Henri Durand. Amelie has the gift of traveling and she travels back to France in 1930 where she meets a Henri and his sister Marie. She travels back in time to help Henri and Marie but she doesn’t know how she needs to help them.
Henri doesn’t trust her and doesn’t like her and he keeps his distance but his sister Marie becomes her friend. Henri doesn’t want Amelie to stay with them because he thinks that Amelie is a danger for them and Henri wants to protect his sister. Amelie agrees with him because she realizes that she can’t help them and she wants to return to her normal life.
But, an unfortunate event made her to stay and spent more time with Henri and Marie. Amelie spent time with Henri and gets to know him. She slowly realizes that Henri is a wonderful man who loves and protects the people around him. They develop a beautiful relationship and they trust each other with their secrets. Henri accepted her and love her.
Their relationship was beautiful and their banter was funny. I enjoyed Across Time and I can’t wait to read the book in the series. Across Time have everything romance, mystery, and fantasy.

Elizabeth O’Roark lives in Washington DC with her three children—Jack, Lily and Patrick—and attempts to write when not driving a child to sports or answering questions about the next meal and the whereabouts of batteries/phone chargers/Halloween candy. A former medical writer, she has bachelor’s degrees in journalism and psychology from the University of Texas, and a master’s in counseling psychology from the University of Notre Dame. She really hasn’t used any of her degrees, and wishes she’d invested all that tuition in Apple stock instead.
