REVIEW TAKE TWO BY HEATHER M. ORGERON
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Release Date: March 19, 2020
RATTING: 4.5 STARS
Who says you can’t marry the same mistake twice?
Certainly not Nya Perez…because that’s precisely what she’s done.
Liam Watts is the bane of her existence.
Her first love. Father of her child. And breaker of her heart.
Oh, he’s also her ex-husband. Well, he was, anyway…right up til this morning, when she woke up beside him in a Vegas hotel room, sheathed in satin and tulle with a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach.
If it were just between the two of them, an annulment would be the obvious solution. After all, they wouldn’t be the first to marry and divorce at the little white chapel in the span of twenty-four hours.
But their daughter’s greatest wish has just been granted, and if there’s one heart Nya wants to protect more than her own, it’s Ellie’s.
So, she promises to give it six months.
There’s no way she’ll be swayed by his thick southern drawl, those well-defined abs, or that annoyingly delectable scruff lining his cheeks.
Nope. She’s got it all under control. Six months of playing house, then everything can go back to the way it was before.
But first she’ll have to muddle through marriage with Liam—take two.
I received this ARC for an honest review. Thank you!
Take Two by Heather M. Orgeron was a funny story about two ex’s Liam and Nya who still love each other and they were friends and they are co-parenting their daughter together. Take two is a hilarious story with so many feelings and sweetness.
Liam and Nya are wonderful parents to their daughter Ellie and after their divorce they become friends and they become an unconventional family. For years they were friends until their daughter wished that their parents together again and to be a real family. Liam and Nya decided to try again for their daughter and them because they still love each other. But, Nya, because she was hurt by Liam, decided to make a pact for six months.
“But I promise not to run.”
“And I promise to always put you and our children first”
For six months they lived in the same house and shared a bed and they worked at their relationship and they were happy. Everyone around them wanted them to be happy and the support of their families was important for them. They promised each other to communicate and to love each other. They had great chemistry and their banter was amazing.
There’s no one else for me; it’s more obvious than ever. What we share goes so much deeper than a physical connection. We’re bonded at a molecular level.
I love to read about ex’s who reconcile and fight to be together again. Take was a second chance who is a little different because they had fun while they solved their problems and enjoyed each other’s company. They realized that they really want this second chance to be a family. I loved Nya and Liam together and I love how they managed their relationship and their relationship with their daughter Ellie. I recommend to everyone this second chance romance.
