They might be richer than gods, but they’re morally bankrupt.

As far as the boys who run America’s most exclusive international academy are concerned, I’m an unwelcome interloper, an inconvenience, and they’re determined to make my life a living hell.

When Wren Jacobi sets eyes on Wolf Hall Academy’s newest inductee, all he sees is an easy mark. A reserved little girl with a target painted on her back. He knows nothing of my troubled past, though. Nothing of my mother’s suspicious death, or the horrific treatment I’ve had to endure at the hands of my psychotic father.

And he has no idea of the lengths that I, unassuming little Elodie Stillwater, will go to in order to break the savage beast who dreams of breaking me first.

There’s a wolf stalking the forests that surround my new school.

Little does he know…

MY REVIEW

I received this ARC for an honest review from the author. Thank you!

Riot House by Callie Hart in the first book in the series Crooked Sinners and I cannot wait to read the next book in this series. Riot House is a bully romance with complex characters and dramatic and with twists. Wolf Hall Academy is a special academy for children whose fathers were in the military. This is the story of Elodie and Wren Jacobi, two kids with secrets and both had military fathers.

Elodie was sent to this academy by her father Colonel Stilwater and Elodie was happy to be away from her violent father and to be finally free. When she arrives at the academy she meets a Wren, her bully.

“Why am I so dead set on her?
Because she’s innocent, and I’m not.
Because she’s wholesome, and I’m not.
Because she’s untainted, and I’m not.
And most importantly of all, because she’ll be so pretty when I make her cry.”

Wren Jacobi was obsessed with her until she arrived at the Academy and he decided that Elodie was his new target. What Wren didn’t know about Elodie is that she is strong and resilient and when he pushed she will be pushing back. Elodie’s life wasn’t easy with her father and because of that, she was strong enough to stand up for herself and to deal with Wren.

“I’m cursed with this bewildering fascination over you, and it’s really becoming… inconvenient, Stillwater.”

Wren was intrigued by Elodie and slowly she becomes to be more for him. They began their secret relationship and they didn’t let that the opinions of their friends to influence their relationship or their feelings. Once, they fall in love, their no going for them.

“Because I’ve found my person now. In case you haven’t realized it yet, you are endgame for me, Elodie Stillwater.”

Riot House by Callie Hart is my kind of bully romance. I loved how their relationship grew and how changed for Elodie just to be with her. I love how brave and strong were Elodie. I loved a Wren and how he loved a Elodie. I loved everything about this book.
