Before he was “Big Texas,” he was “Zac the Snack Pack.”

Bianca Brannen knows time—mostly—heals all wounds. Including those, your once loved ones might have unintentionally given you. (Those just take longer.)

She thinks she’s ready when a call has her walking back into her old friend’s life. Or at least as prepared as possible to see the starting quarterback in the National Football Organization. Before the lights, the fans, and the millions, he’d been a skinny kid with a heart of gold.

Waltzing out of Zac Travis’s life should be easy. Just as easy as he walked out of hers.

Mariana Zapata is one of my favorite authors. I read all her books and I can say that I loved every one of her books. Mariana Zapata is an auto-buy author for me. I was so happy when I found out that she will publish a book in July.

Hands Down are the story of Bianca and Zac. They were best friends when they were kids but they lost contact when Zac went to college and Bianca remained home.

They meet again after ten years and they realized that after all these years they still want to be in each other lives and their friendship and easy banter between them is still there.

I liked that Zac and Bianca talked about their past and how they lost contact. At first, Bianca was a little hesitant with Zac because she wasn’t sure what Zac wants from her and Zac reassured her that she is still an important person in his life and he wants to spend time with her. I loved how their friendship evolved and how they become each other rock. Zac becomes vulnerable only with Bianca and Bianca listens to him and makes him believe in himself again. Zac encouraged and support a Bianca to follow her dreams.

“You’ve always been my favorite girl, kiddo. Hands down.”

I loved their friendship and how they become a couple. I loved that I read about Aiden and Vanessa and Jasmine and Ivan. I read Hands Down with a smile on my face and I recommend to everyone this book.
